Halloween
Halloween can be different things for New Yorkers, but a shift in cultural awareness continues to add additional layers. Some tote the line between creative and offensive - want to be seen and celebrated. Others just want to be invisible and live in a fantasy world for one night. Each year I ask myself: What does it mean to Escape - in a city where people don’t pass as much judgment on outward appearance? How does code-switching play a role? This series documents a few of those stories.
