In 2022, Jersey City redrew its ward map. Ward F was split, and Bergen-Lafayette with it. Politically connected developers got out of old ordinance obligations. The housing crisis kept growing.
I've photographed Bergen-Lafayette since 2017. The people, the churches, the corners, the lots. This book asks what that change means to the people living through it.
It's about who gets to stay, who gets remembered, and how we keep finding home when the ground keeps moving.
